(This is not A) Happy Room Tickets - King's Head Theatre

A happy room is not always where the family is…

They say you can’t choose your family, but if you could, you certainly wouldn’t choose this one.

The Hendersons are a happily dysfunctional family, who are reuniting for their dad’s third (or possibly fourth?) wedding. Nobody, however, expects the death of their father's bachelorhood to become an actual funeral… Well, it would be a waste not to repurpose the hotel function room, right?

Hailed as Schitt's Creek meets Saltburn, (This is not A) Happy Room is Rosie Day’s second play following Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon which premiered at Southwark Playhouse before its transfer to The Garrick. Featuring Day’s signature ‘laugh-a-minute’ humour (WhatsOnStage), her new, sharp, searing, dark comedy will premiere at the King's Head Theatre in March 2025.

The King's Head Theatre is a small fringe venue situated in Upper Street close to Angel tube station. The theatre is located inside an old fashioned pub in the heart of Islington, near to all the restaurants and is both cosy and atmospheric. The venue is tiny with no raised stage so you can feel like you are part of the actual scene making it an intimate experience and very detached from larger West End productions. There is a pricing structure within the venue which can fluctuate slightly to offer extra value for (This is not A) Happy Room tickets by exploiting cut off points in the seating plan without compromising too much on the quality of seating.
